It may come as no surprise that Chicago loves celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. From the famous Chicago River Dye to the South Side parade, the city keeps the luck of the Irish going for the whole month of March. This includes the annual Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle!
Every year, thousands of people gather in a green-infused 8K (4.97 miles) run through the heart of downtown. The race starts near Grant Park and makes it way through the Loop, past the Chicago Theater and finishes down Michigan Avenue. The full course map can be found here.
From those just starting to run, to seasoned veteran runners, the Shamrock Shuffle is perfect for all ability levels. Plus, this year, a 2 mile fun run has been added for anyone just looking to get outside, enjoy the festive atmosphere and tour through the city.
