Hyatt Regency Chicago started its partnership with Ronald McDonald House near Lurie Children’s Hospital through their Meals From The Heart program in 2012. What started as a six-month partnership turned into a fulfilling commitment to serve meals for families of the House…as long as they’ll have us! Five years later, employees are still actively engaged in the program and serving countless meals to families being support by Ronald McDonald House.
Meals From The Heart is a volunteer program where groups from the community help provide a home-cooked dinner to families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.
Additionally, Hyatt Regency Chicago has dedicated its only bi-level suite to the Ronald McDonald House by Lurie Children’s. The room is completed decorated with Ronald McDonald gear, and portions of proceeds from guests staying in the suite are donated back to Ronald McDonald House. The suite was unveiled in May 2014 and has received resounding compliments since its opening.
BIG Bar, Hyatt Regency Chicago’s bar and restaurant on the mezzanine level, serves a drink appropriately dubbed “Home Sweet Home” to continue the donations to the Ronald McDonald House. To date, BIG Bar has sold more than 2,000 drinks!
