Ticket Tuesday: John Hancock Observatory
Happy Ticket Tuesday! This week’s featured attraction is John Hancock Observatory. The gigantic Chicago skyscraper can’t be missed- literally. Its magnitude overtakes the skyline and central location make it easily accessible for all to enjoy.
The iconic tall tower isn’t great just for magnificent views, but also hosts fun events for all kinds of crowds. Check out some and put them on your to-do list for this summer/fall:
- Summer Fireworks at Navy Pier- Every Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. and Saturday at 10:15 p.m., the Windy City night sky lights up with the splendor of fireworks from one of the most famous piers in the world.

- Sky High with American Girl- Enjoy a meal in the American Girl Café at 7:30, then head to John Hancock at 9 for games, activities and fireworks!
July 25, August 8
- Air & Water Show- Check out the popular Windy City annual event from high up with the planes. Have a drink or bite to eat in Chicago’s highest café and bar – Lavazza Espression Café.

- Redbull Flugtag- Don’t miss this event’s return to the Windy City. Witness all sorts of objects soaring over North Avenue Beach from over 1,000 feet up.
