Stetson’s Chop House Cellar Selection: Ken Wright Pinot Noir
This week’s winery for the Cellar Selection isn’t too far away. Hailing from the Yamhill Carlton District in Oregon, this pinot noir has beautiful aromas of strawberry, bright cherry and rhubard mingle with notes of forest floor and a touch of spice. It also has a great silky texture with bright acidity making it a gem among the 11 pinot noirs vineyards farmed by Ken and Karen Wright.
This is the first vineyard directly owned and developed by Ken Wright Cellars. Their uniqueness stems from their labels, which express the workers in the vineyards, and their philosophy that certain things in this world are better left alone. Ken Wright Cellars minimally handles the wine to preserve what it is, a gift of nature.
Enjoy a 2010 ‘Savoya Vineyard’ pinot noir from Ken Wright Cellars for $120 at Stetson’s Chop House. Click here to make your reservation.
