Stetson’s Chop House Cellar Selection: Château Moncontour Crémant de Loire, Brut Rosé, NV
Sommelier Amy Witz’s pick this week comes from Vouvrey, which sits in the Loire Valley in France. The Château Moncontour Winery is one of the oldest in the region.
Since the tenth century, caves were excavated in the cliffs to vinify and preserve its precious wine.
During the Renaissance period, the ever-growing fame to the wines crossed France’s borders and spread across northern Europe.
